Ryanair Introduces New Flights Services Due To An Increase In Demand To Spain

Low cost carrier Ryanair is launching new routes to and within Spain this December while cutting back a significant amount of European routes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The extra routes will start operating on December 1, 2020 with the company claiming ‘a record increase in demand from Scandinavian, Norwegian and Spanish customers’. The move is in stark contrast to the carrier slashing 40 per cent of its pan-European winter schedule.

Company boasts about boost as other airlines cut their routes.

Ryanair will begin by introducing a twice-weekly flight between Alicante-Elche airport and Vitoria in the Basque Country. Malaga and Valencia airports will be linked three times a week, and there will be four weekly flights between Barcelona and Lanzarote. Palma in Mallorca will have two flights per week to Jerez.

Ryanair commercial director, Jason McGuinness said: “Our company is continuing to support regional trade and tourism, allowing travel for people to visit their family and friends when most other carriers are reducing their services.”
